Wild Finch at The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs is looking for dedicated and passionate Host to join our dining room service team. This role is key in delivering outstanding hospitality, ensuring seamless restaurant operations, and creating a welcoming, exciting, and progressive environment for our guests. Where You Can Make an Impact:
- Guest Experience & Seating: Greet and seat guests, manage reservations, estimate wait times, and coordinate floor pacing to ensure smooth service.
- Phone & Reservation Management: Handle incoming calls, answer FAQs, manage reservations, and take messages as needed.
- Team Support: Anticipate the needs of the floor staff and provide proactive assistance to ensure efficient service.
- Beverage Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of beverage service to enhance the guest experience.
- Hospitality Standards: Adhere to all hospitality guidelines as outlined in training materials, handbooks, and ongoing feedback.
- Opening & Closing Duties: Ensure the host area is properly set up and closed down at the start and end of each shift.
- Professionalism & Integrity: Demonstrate honesty, trust, and dependability in all interactions, serving as a role model for the team.
- Community & Connection: Foster relationships with both guests and team members, creating an inviting and inclusive environment.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and mutual support among staff and management.
Requirements
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage reservations, floor pacing, and guest interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create a welcoming guest experience.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of both guests and team members for smooth restaurant operations.
- A positive and team-oriented attitude, supporting the success of the restaurant.
Pay & Growth Opportunities:

Work Schedule & Environment:
- Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week with varying shifts.
- Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Fast-paced work in a restaurant setting, including exposure to hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment.
