The Springs Resort and Spa is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Bartender to join our team. This role combines delivering drinks to guests with bartending responsibilities, ensuring that every guest receives excellent service in a timely and friendly manner. Where You Can Make an Impact:
- Drink Delivery: Deliver beverages to guests in dining areas, ensuring timely service and that every guest enjoys their drinks as expected.
- Bartending Excellence: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards. Engage with guests to make personalized drink recommendations based on preferences.
- Guest Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure guests’ needs are met promptly and accurately.
- Maintaining the Bar Area: Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and organized at all times. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
- Mixed Drink Preparation: Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages, ensuring that every drink is made with precision and quality.
- Cash Handling & Payment: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring that all orders are processed correctly and payments are handled with care.
- Dishwashing & Cleanliness: Wash glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment when needed, ensuring everything is sanitized and ready for use.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other bartenders, wait staff, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during busy times.
Education/Formal Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Bartender certification or relevant mixology training is a plus but not required.
Experience:
- Previous bartending experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality or restaurant environment is beneficial.
- Prior experience in drink service or as a food runner is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Mixology Skills: Knowledge of cocktail recipes and the ability to prepare drinks quickly and accurately. Ability to create new and exciting drink specials is a bonus.
- Guest Service: Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on creating an exceptional experience for every guest.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays of drinks, ensuring drinks are delivered in a timely manner.
- Multitasking: Ability to juggle multiple drink orders, cash handling, and guest interactions in a busy environment.
- Safety & Sanitation: Knowledge of health and safety guidelines, ensuring the bar area is clean and sanitary and drinks are prepared according to safe practices.
- Team Player: Works well in a collaborative team environment, supporting your fellow bartenders and front-of-house staff.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures all drink orders are completed accurately and presented beautifully.
