Description
Job Summary: The food runner position assists the servers by taking guests the correct food and drink to the corresponding table and seat position. The Food Runner will also assist servers by taking drink orders and refilling drinks for guests while ensuring that all orders are delivered quickly and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:

Deliver the correct food to guests
-
Assist other team members with service and food delivery
-
Bus tables as needed
-
Prepare sauce cups for servers as needed
-
Cut fruit for bartenders as needed
-
Prepare the expo line for service
-
Sweep and mop all work areas and sanitize common areas
-
Take out trash to dumpsters ensuring that it never overflows
-
Refill water jugs for guests
-
Double check orders before delivery to ensure it matches the ticket order
-
Answer any questions guest may have
-
Uphold sanitation and food safety principles
-
Ensure guests have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food

Reports any unsafe condition, act, accidents and/or injuries to the manager on duty

Correctly completes closing duties

Assists with both FOH and BOH closing/opening duties as assigned

All other duties as assigned

Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests

Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards

Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way

Ability to memorize seating charts

Ability to identify different drinks and menu items correctly

Ability to work as part of a team
Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50lbs

Must be able to carry trays of food or drinks

Must be able to stay on feet for entire shift

Frequent walking, bending, stooping
Working Conditions:

Indoor and/or outdoor

Possible exposure to extreme heat or cold depending on season

Exposure to slippery floors and surfaces

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs

Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred.

Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests

CPR Training ( can be obtained after employment )

Must be at least 18 years old ( to serve alcohol )

Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
