Description
Job Summary: The Food & Beverage Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the needed foods and materials for proper service are maintained at an above satisfactory level.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform the assigned opening duties.
- Perform the assigned closing duties.
- Ensure all foods are stocked throughout shift while operating a buffet style meal.
- Ensure all beverage options are stocked throughout shift while operating a buffet style meal.
- Assist food runners as needed.
- Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
- Maintains organized and clean work area.
- Controls inventory through conscientious use and careful monitoring
- Provides level of service consistent with established standards in every aspect
- Provides additional services / answers requested by the guest.
- Clear tables and eating areas of trash or food left behind by guests.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Sufficient education and literacy are necessary to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- CPR Training (can be obtained after employment)
- Must be at least 18 years old (to serve alcohol)
- Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Some former restaurant experience is helpful.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
