Description
Job Summary: The role of a server is to serve all guests and/or members and take care of their needs and requests as it pertains to their dining experience. You are also responsible for bringing the guest and/or members incredible customer service by menu and product knowledge, completing correct orders, timely/friendly service, and anticipating and accommodating any and all of the guests and/or members needs.
Job Responsibilities:

Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction as well as company standards; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen

Serves food and beverages to guests as per the restaurants standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

Ensure that the guests have a pleasant dining experience

Obtain complete knowledge about ingredients, flavors and suggestions about menu items
-
Inform guests about special items for the day and menu changes.

Take food and beverage orders

Collect plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals
-
Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments
-
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor

Complete pre-shift and post-shift duties including setup and teardown of certain stations
-
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
-
Must be at least sixteen years old (at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages)

Previous experience as a server preferred
-
Must successfully compete in food safety, alcohol & job training.

Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
-
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of special diets to ensure safety of guests when ordering food

Basic Knowledge of Spirits, Beer, Wine & Beverages

Ability to work well in a team environment

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accordingly

Ability to operate point-of-sale systems

Detail-oriented and thorough

Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests

Ability to perform consistent work to the highest standards

Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple guests at a time
Physical Demands:

Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping.

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

Must be able to safely deliver food and drinks on different surfaces
Working Conditions:

Exposure to slippery surfaces and stairs depending on location
-
Indoor and/or outdoor
-
Exposure to extreme heat and cold depending on season and location
-
Potential exposure to naturally occurring environmental factors such as wind, rain, red tide, etc.

Possibility to work 11 hour shifts
