The St. Louis Mat & Linen Company is seeking a Route Service Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of drivers to ensure timely and efficient route execution.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Assist in training new drivers on company procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Utilize organizational skills to plan routes effectively, optimizing time and resources.
- Engage in upselling services to existing customers while maintaining strong relationships.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during deliveries or when handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, customer interactions, and route performance metrics.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role or related field is preferred.
- Strong background in customer service with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in math for route planning and inventory management tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Organizational skills are essential for managing multiple routes and schedules efficiently.
- Experience in sales or upselling techniques is a plus.
