What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cath Lab position at The Staff Pad?
Job Summary
This is a critical position in our medical team, responsible for performing cardiac-catheterization procedures, including but not limited to, Percutaneous Transluminal Cardiac Angioplasty and Stents, Intra-aortic Balloon Pump, Pacemaker implantation, and Pericardiocentesis. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in Radiology, with a strong background in invasive radiographic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during invasive, noninvasive, and interventional procedures, including Abdominal Aorta-grams, Central Venous lines, and drainage catheters.
- Communicate continuously with physicians about patient conditions.
- Operate equipment safely and correctly.
- Participate in diagnostic procedures and performance improvement initiatives.
- Understand and adhere to Radiation Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- Graduate of an accredited school in Radiology Technology required.
- Current Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist – required.
- A permit to practice as a Radiology Technologist in the State of {company} is required.
- Minimum of monitoring ACLS course required within 12 months of hire.
Schedule and Benefits
This position offers a combination of shift and on-call schedules, with 7 days on and 7 days off rotation. Employees are paid for full-time work (80 hours straight time) to cover one seven-day stretch of day shifts and weekend and weekday call per pay period.
