Job Description
The Staff Pad is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in underground utility construction. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing commercial and municipal utility projects and be able to handle a fast-paced, aggressive work environment.
This position is not suited for candidates with only vertical construction, franchise utilities, dry utilities (fiber optic, gas, etc.), or TxDOT-only experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee POs, subcontracts, and project buyouts
- Manage pay applications, change orders, and material procurement
- Track project schedules, contract timelines, and budget performance
- Resolve job site disputes and ensure smooth field operations
- Conduct weekly coordination meetings and subcontractor management
- Oversee contract administration whether as a subcontractor or prime contractor
- Monitor subcontractor payment applications and collections
- Maintain document control and project documentation
