Tooling Engineer is 100k-110k plus extra effort pay, which is simply this : the position is scheduled for 45 hours per week, any hours worked in a week beyond the 45 are paid at straight time hourly rate. No bonus structure for this position. Salaried positions below manager level are not subject to a bonus structure, so we give people extra effort pay when they work over 45 hours weekly. So for example, if someone is making $100k a year as a Tooling Engineer, their hourly rate translates to ~ $48 / hour. They’re scheduled for 45 hours / week. If they work 55 hours in a week, then 10 hours are paid out as extra effort pay @$48 per hour.

The plant produces complete seat systems for various automotive OEMs, including headrests, armrests, and seat cushions. Size : The facility spans over 220,000 square feet with approximately 600 employees. Certifications : The plant is certified to ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards. Technologies : The plant uses several advanced technologies, including robotics, automated welding, and computer-controlled foam molding.

Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities :

The Tooling Engineer is responsible to manage all tooling and tooling build timelines (Tool Tracker) to ensure consistently high-quality components are produced on time and cost effectively. The Tooling Engineer is expected to ensure the most up to date technologies are utilized to continuously improve our product, meeting our customer’s expectations.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :

• Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience in the automotive industry.
• Familiar with metal fabricating, assembly processes and related tooling
• Knowledge of progressive dies, transfer dies, blank forming, tube forming
• Advanced GD&T
• Demonstrated planning and system implementation ability
