This position is for a box truck driver. As a box truck driver you must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, an up to date DOT card, and experience driving a box truck.
Responsibilities :
Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle. Operate the vehicle safely and effectively. Follow all transportation rules and guidelines. Unloading items for delivery. Utilizing safe lifting practices and equipment properly. Provide excellent customer service. Verify deliveries for accuracy and complete all required paperwork. Keeping the truck clean and reporting any maintenance needed. Ensure that loads are secured properly to mitigate damage to the items. Follow all DOT regulations and company policies pertaining to safety. Manage time wisely. Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and within the timeline provided. Report any issues, accidents or violations to the supervisor immediately. Follow all safety policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned.
1-3 years of previous, provable experience operating a box truck is required.
Must maintain a valid driver's license, an up-to-date DOT health card and have a clean driving record. Must be at least 21 years old. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Ability to squat, reach, twist, climb, rotate and stand for extended periods. Ability to work independently. Excellent time management skills. Excellent customer service skills. Strong verbal communication skills.
