Assist in quantity preparation and serving of food at an assigned school site; assist in maintaining food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.
Job Duties :
Assist in the preparation and service of food. To include assembling various ingredients as assigned, packaging and / or wrapping food items according to established procedures and portion control standards, serve meals on serving line, and taking temperature of foods prior to serving.
Assist in maintaining food service facilities. Keeping a safe and sanitary work area.
Perform routine cashier duties utilizing a point of sale (POS) system. Operate standard food service equipment. Clean / wash serving equipment.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Proper lifting techniques.
Basic math and cashier skills are preferred.
Learn the methods and procedures for preparing and serving food in large quantities.
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
