Aircraft Painter
Salary : $22 / hour (depending on experience)

Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience which must include preparation and painting aircraft or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manuals.
Responsibilities :
Adhere to General Work RequirementsRead engineering drawings to identify the tasks to be performed in preparation for the application of chemicals and paint to aircraft surfaceApply safety absorbent to hangar floor and spray aircraft surface with stripper to remove all paintAssist with moving aircraft to appropriate bayMask, unmask, and remask appropriate areas of aircraft surface to ensure complete protection of windows and other areas susceptible to damageRemove stripper, excess paint, and / or contaminants using water, solvents, airblower, and / or brushesSand, grind, and buff polished areas of aircraft surface, apply putty to body dents, and replace sealer in preparation for the application of primer and paintApply alodine to aircraft surface using spray equipmentAssist with the application of primers to aircraft surfaceAssist with painting parts, components, and / or aircraft surfaceAssist with checking for imperfections after painting and striping application using discrepancy sheet and documented squawks and perform touch-up work as requiredDocument work performed per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM)Perform above tasks in support of production, flight test, and other outside areas as requiredMay perform Designated Inspector (DI) function as qualified by QAAssist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualificationApply base coat of paint, stripes, decals, and vinyl appliques to aircraft surfaceAssist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualificationSRG Government Services is a leading provider of information technology, training, engineering, accounting and intelligence analytical services for agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets.
