Design Engineer
Location : Billerica, MA

Salary : Up to $120k Depending on Experience
Employment Type : Direct Hire
Schedule : 1st Shift M-F 7am to 3 : 30pm; 2nd Shift M-F 3 : 30pm to 12am
Summary :
The Design Engineer s primary responsibility will be to take ownership of one or more product lines and manage their design and development from initial concept through production. The successful Design Engineer will take a hands-on approach, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in design processes while ensuring adherence to customer, industry, and applicable technical specifications.
Qualifications :
- Ability to create and interpret technical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC Machining, Non-Destructive Testing (Magnetic Particle, Pressure Testing, Dye Penetrant) and Mechanical Testing (Tensile, Hardness, Grain Size)
- Knowledge of design principles for various manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining and 3D printing
- Experience working in an ISO / AS9100 facility and conducting quality audits
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
