Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Environment : Our client is an FDA-registered manufacturer of Towelettes and Alcohol Prep-pads specialized in both food and medical services industries. They work under the FDA, cGMP, CFR-21 and USP standards. Fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ambient noise level may be high at times.
Responsibilities :
Operate transportation equipment (e.g.- box truck, pick-up truck, etc.) to and from material storage warehouse.
Loading and unloading materials, finished goods, equipment, etc.
Ability to operate various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallets jacks and associated equipment.
Wrapping of pallets and loading of pallets onto trucks.
Transportation of materials, components and finished goods between multiple facilities.
Perform routine inventory counts for finished goods and components (cycle counting).
Perform transactions within a software-based environment.
Work independently without supervision.
Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure company goals are met.
This position reports directly to the Materials Manager.
Maintain records in compliance with cGMP, SOP and Safety procedures.
Work with management to ensure schedules, goals, deadlines and objectives are met, both on a daily and long-term basis.
Qualifications and Skills :
Previous experience in shipping & receiving role.
Prior experience with software-based ERP systems desired.
Proficiency using state-of-the-art software programs desired.
Ability to operate a forklift and become certified forklift
Ability to operate trucks weighing 26,000 lbs or more and obtain a Florida Class B Certified Driver s License
Strong attention to detail and the ability to muti-task in a fast-paced environment.
Follows written and oral directions well
Good organizational skills
Able to accurately and neatly complete documentation
Hands-on, team player.
Ability to learn new tasks
Ability to communicate clearly
Position requires the ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Steel-toe boots may be required for this position.
