A successful Northern VA Home Staging Company has an immediate opening for a flexible, motivated, self-starting, highly detail oriented Home Staging Professional. If you have home staging and interior design experience and are looking for a subcontracting position we would like to hear from you. We are looking for a candidate with schedule flexibility, simplistic design taste, who has a passion for design and true love for attention to detail - both an absolute must for the position! You must have the ability to prioritize, work and thrive in a fast paced environment and be authentically motivated to do whatever it takes to get the job done right and on time. There are physical demands to this position that you must be capable of: Lifting and rearranging furniture at stagings and interior redesign jobs; Carrying/moving heavy tubs of accessories at staging job; Hanging art; running multiple errands as necessary. We are looking for an independent contractor who has strong and warm communication skills, an eye for detail, and a true commitment to exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate MUST HAVE at least ONE YEAR of ACTUAL HOME STAGING/DESIGN experience.

STAGING EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must have a minimum of ONE YEAR of actual home staging/design experience.
• Must be able to acclimate to a flexible work schedule.
• Must be able to select furniture from our online inventory to stage homes.
• Candidate must be able and willing to travel to the Woodbridge area on a regular basis to prepare for staging jobs. Candidate must have reliable transportation to travel to warehouse and staging jobs throughout the greater Northern Virginia region including DC.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Simplistic design taste.
• Confidence and leadership when engaging with clients, vendors and team members while remaining warm, personable, courteous, and professional.
• A high level proficiency for organization and an innate aptitude and love for attention to detail and getting things done exactly right. This is a 100% must.
• The ideal candidate must adore, live and breath design and taking care of special details that give a finished project that extra polish and perfection. If this truly isn't what you absolutely LOVE more than anything (and please be authentic about this), please don't apply for the position it would be a waste of time and you will not last in the position.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to follow directions and execute them in a clear, precise manner is a must.
• The ability to successfully manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Able to communicate clearly and calmly even in emotional, high-pressured, schedule driven situations.
• Able to resolve problems as they arise in day-to-day operations on the staging job sites.
• Overseeing both the set up of staged homes; tagging furniture and packing up accessories at our warehouse for the movers; unpacking them again at the home being staged; and overseeing the movers work to make sure all furniture items are set up in a highly organized and orderly manner.
• Hanging art as directed, accessorizing, shifting furnishings as necessary.
• Touching up furniture, art and accessories, vacuuming, polishing furniture and glass -- general "detailing" of the finished product.
• Must have personal vehicle large enough to transport some staging items and small furniture items when needed. Must have valid drivers license.
