Description
We are seeking a Chef de Partie that prioritizes contribution to an environment of collaboration, harmony, and fun while delivering a vivid, dynamic, and engaging experience that is closely aligned with "The Standard brand."
You will be open to learning and adapting to the unique vibe of tourists, members, and locals that have created the foundation for our culinary inspiration. You will be working with the Culinary Leadership Team of Chefs with the supervision of Lido and Belle Kitchens. You will be responsible for various aspects of kitchen management including expediting, quality control, training, hands-on support, and minimal daily reporting & analytics. You must develop complete product knowledge of all menus, recipes, and food presentation; to ensure all items are executed with consistent control and to standards. You will also ensure all back of the house areas are organized and clean as you will have the ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments.
Qualifications
- Prior culinary school and/or kitchen experience gained within a similar restaurant/hospitality environment is recommended for this role
- Prior Kitchen supervisory experience a plus
- Flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
- Be highly adaptable, motivated, and proactive; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
- Able to guide and train line staff to ensure compliance to all laws and standards and follow-thru with performance management if required.
- Hold an active Food Handler's License Certification, or obtain it during first 30 days.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions including extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Must be able to work standing for duration of the shift
- Periodical bending, kneeling, and stretching are required.
- Must be able to pull, push, move, carry, and lift, at least 50 lbs of force.
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to hear and speak clearly to communicate with guests and co-workers.
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
