We are looking for a motivated and reliable General Laborer to support our environmental restoration projects. This is a hands-on position requiring physical labor and a strong commitment to working outdoors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental conservation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. You will assist in the restoration of impacted landscapes including rivers, lakes, wetlands and forested areas, and contribute to other various tasks as part of our dedicated crew. Please note: Travel is required, and occasionally staying out of town for multiple nights during the workweek will be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the restoration and rehabilitation of natural environments including wetlands, forests, streams, and other ecosystems.
  • Perform physical labor tasks, including digging, hauling materials, planting, and moving debris.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as needed.
  • Transport and manage materials like erosion control blankets, stakes, and other restoration materials.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Assist with site preparation, grading, and erosion control efforts.
  • Help remove invasive species, manage vegetation, and restore native plant communities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to environmental restoration efforts.
  • Travel to various job sites as required, sometimes staying overnight for multiple days during the workweek.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a one-ton pickup truck used for hauling material and small equipment.
  • Operate a skid steer track loader
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and equipment operation is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and a good communicator.
  • Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and remote areas.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test as required.
  • Willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays for multiple days during the workweek.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in labor, landscaping, construction, or farming is a plus but not required.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Experience operating a skid steer and other light equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
