The Star Dental Group of Warren, NJ (07059) is seeking an organized Dental Claims Specialist to join our phenomenal team!

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, along with expertise in dental billing, coding, and insurance verification. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office, maintaining accurate insurance correspondence, and providing exceptional support to both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Accurately code dental procedures using ADA coding systems.
- Manage dental billing processes, ensuring timely submission of claims & maximizing provider reimbursements.
- Maintain organized patient files and medical documentation in compliance with legal standards & HIPAA.
- Work accounts receivable to review outstanding claims & patient balances.
- Utilize dental practice management software to track and collect payments, including setting up payment plans for outstanding bills
- Send monthly invoices to patients
- Correct rejected insurance claims and coding errors and send necessary documentation
- Prepare appeal letters as needed
- Receive EOB's, research causes for denials, & resubmit claims
- Assist with generating daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Act as a liaison between insurers & dental office
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling appointments, handling phone calls and managing patient inquiries.
Our Hours
We are open the following days/times. We can be flexible in terms of hours worked as long as they fall into our hours of operations.
- Mondays: 8AM to 5:30PM
- Tuesdays: 8AM to 5:30PM
- Thursdays: 8AM to 5:30PM
- Fridays: 9AM to 1PM
Requirements
- At least one year experience in a dental practice preferred
- Proficiency in dental terminology and ADA coding
- Experience with dental insurance processes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Familiarity with financial software used in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
