Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive In-House Accountant to manage and oversee all accounting functions of the company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial health, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring full compliance with all financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the company’s general ledger and financial records
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and contractor payments
- Oversee payroll processing and expense reimbursements
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and audits
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
- Support financial planning for ongoing and upcoming development projects
- Provide financial insight and reporting to support executive decision-making
- Manage project-based accounting and cost tracking for multiple properties
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (real estate industry a plus)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
