Description
The START Center for Cancer Care is seeking a full-time Medical Assistantexperienced or new graduate. The MA will function under the guidance of a licensed nurse and become a supportive part of the physicians team by providing quality care. If you want to make a difference for someone with cancer, this is the position for you!
Our clinic is Monday-Friday with day hours and no traveling from location to location during work hours.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Rooming patients Vital signs, review of systems, medication reconciliation
- Lab draws venipuncture, Medi ports and IV starts
- Obtaining patient history
- Chart prep
- Phone triage
- Medication refills
- Collecting patient records
- Accessing hospital portals
- Communicating within the team
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program (Required)
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA through AMA, RMA, NCM, CCMA) (highly Preferred)
- Recent Clinical experience or extern hours
