Description
The Radiation LVN provides patient care and skilled nursing assessment and evaluation. Perform triage of patients and prepares all charts for physicians clinic.
- Assists physician with his daily clinic visits and triages/assesses patients before they see the physician
- Conducts skilled nursing assessments that evaluate physical and emotional status of patients and communicates findings to physician
- Triages patient inquiries and relates to physician. Takes appropriate action as ordered by physician or protocol
- Delegates assignments to support staff and provides supervision and performance review
- Coordinates patients treatment and follow-up appointments and ensures time appropriate follow-up
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current R.N. or L.V.N. issued by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. AT least 1-3 years of oncology experience. OCN preferred.
Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills required. Basic computer skills necessary.
