This advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at Central Office in Finance and Accounting.
Salary: $22.00 Hourly Rate
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bureau of Finance & Accounting is seeking a team member to perform professional level work in tracking and recovering natural disaster costs. This position is responsible for the following:
- Support the Disaster Recovery team with all accounting and tracking needs.
- Perform accounting analysis as needed throughout the project.
- Gather, audit, and reconcile vendor invoice documents utilizing Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR).
- Budget and Accounting Reporting System (BARS), My Florida Market Place (MFMP) and other applicable sources daily.
- Compile and review source documents, to ensure compliance with all related statutes, rules, and requirements to support cost incurred and/or cost estimates.
- Analyze and evaluate complex financial data.
- Convert any hard copy sheets into Excel to include in project accounting reports.
- Maintain a detailed database tracking tool or all incurred cost daily.
- Develop financial statements and reports.
- Organize and upload documents into Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Florida Division of Emergency Management’s (DEM) project management systems.
- Communicate with staff as needed.
- Assist the project leader with other duties as assigned.
- Work with section lead and management to ensure work is completed in an effective manner that facilitates meeting the objectives and measures of the section.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four (4) or more years of finance and administrative experience. Postsecondary education may substitute on a year-for-year bases for the required experience.
- Access to Department Institutions and FLAIR.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preference will be given for the following experiences:
- Project Management.
- Analytical experience.
- Advanced Excel experience.
