DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives and investigates written and verbal inquiries and/or complaints regarding the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services to individuals served by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Complaints will be investigated and processed in accordance with the Ombudsman playbook and standard operating procedures. The position also provides consultation to other VR staff to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of customer services. Inquiries may also come from other sources (e.g., elected officials; family members). Incumbent will record pertinent information about all inquiries in the Ombudsman database and relay information to responsible field staff for complaint resolution or provision of information to satisfy the inquiry.


Maintains a database of complaints and inquiries from which monthly and annual reports may be extracted, and assist with the continued implementation of the new database


The employee must respond to all written and verbal inquiries and/or complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
