Description:
Responsible for individual client care throughout the time the participant is in the Miami-Dade Adult Drug Court. Maintains open communication lines with Miami-Dade Adult Drug Court Judge and staff, participants, their families, treatment providers, community programs, state programs, etc.The working schedule for this position is Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00
p.m. & Fridays from 8:00a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work/onsite schedule after a 90-day period, as outlined by existing Circuit policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates participants' referrals, admission, intake screening and discharge planning.
Conducts case management assessments.
Engages support system of the participant as a part of the treatment process to facilitate
recovery.
Monitors the progress of participants through effective communication with treatment
providers.
Attends treatment-planning sessions, supervision sessions and staffing.
Conducts individual progress review sessions of assigned cases.
Maintains weekly contact with program participants by completing home visits,
employment visits, and meetings at treatment centers.
Links participants or respective family to appropriate community resources, including
mental health and trauma services, housing assistance, vocational counseling, public
assistance and educational services.
Collaborates with treatment staff on treatment planning.
Monitors participants' progress with respective treatment plan.
Provides accurate and updated information to the court at scheduled court appearance.
Obtains releases for all parties to be contacted on behalf of each participant, in
adherence with confidentiality laws.
Accurately records and maintains the required documentation in the participants' electronic file.
Communicates and problem solve via the chain of command.
Assists with urinalysis drug testing.
Reports incidents, accidents and occurrences in accordance with policies and
procedures.
Performs court related duties and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or related field.
Two years of case management experience. Experience with clinical intake, record
keeping and business management procedures.
Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) or CAAP-1 or 2 is preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to demonstrate excellent writing and verbal skills, utilizing correct English grammar, spelling and punctuation, as well as expresses ideas clearly and concisely when presenting in court.
Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-V).
Knowledge of state and federal statues regarding patient confidentiality laws.
Ability to provide crisis intervention if needed.
Ability to plan and prepare reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
Ability to deal tactfully with the public.
Ability to organize work, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work as a team player.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others including
judges, judicial staff, supervisor, coworkers and other agency personnel.
Ability to understand and adhere to court policies and procedures including policies
concerning personal conduct, workplace violence, safety, drug and alcohol-free
workplace, computer and telecommunications use, e-mail and internet use and
confidentiality.
Ability to provide crisis intervention if needed.

Working Conditions:
Moderate noise; business office setting.

Physical Demands:
Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, balancing, stooping, and reaching with hands and arms; must be able to transfer up to 10 pounds.
