DESCRIPTION
The primary prevention specialist will play a key role in developing, implementing, and overseeing statewide primary prevention initiatives to prevent intimate partner violence. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in violence prevention, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze and utilize data effectively. This position will conduct and/or support special projects as assigned. This position is within the Office of Domestic Violence in the Office of Community Services.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, human services, or a related field.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in domestic violence prevention or a related field.
- Must possess at a minimum, two years’ experience of delivering direct or indirect services in a domestic violence center/shelter or other related experience to working at a center/shelter.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of evidence-based prevention practices and strategies.
- Leadership and team management. Data analysis and reporting Program development and evaluation.
- Effective communication and public speaking.
- Community engagement and partnership building Policy development and advocacy.
Software Proficiency:
Must be proficient in Microsoft office.
