Disposition Specialist
Position Title: Disposition Specialist
Annual Salary Range: $35,000 plus benefits
Geographic Location: Bartow, FL
Starting Date: Immediately
- Identify individual client needs such as housing instability, transportation, mental health, substance use disorder, trauma, or other
- Provide critical support to attorneys by addressing the social, psychological, and environmental factors impacting clients
- Develop individualized care plans for clients to connect those clients with appropriate community resources and providers
- Advocate for alternatives to incarceration such as diversion or rehabilitation programs
- Support clients through the legal process to promote fair and just outcomes
- Assist clients in learning how to access community resources and services
- Work with attorney to coordinate community-based housing and treatment options for clients on conditional release plans
- Maintain and update electronic client files
- Make client referrals for services to other agencies as appropriate
- Maintain liaison with community agencies and service organizations to connect clients with those community services
- Experience preferred but not required
- Good knowledge of community resources
- Ability to assist clients in accessing community resources and services
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to appraise and organize facts to present materials in written and oral form
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with office staff, clients, and the general public
- Ability to manage a large caseload while maintaining adequate levels of communication and attention to individual clients
- Proficient computer skills
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field preferred
