The Work You Will Do:

  • Review application for licensure requiring board approval, extensive research, and professional judgment, and prepare synopsis for the review and consideration of the Florida Real Estate Commission.
  • Serve as Liaison with Tallahassee Service Operations. Provide exemplary customer service and support to both internal and external customers with applications/license requirements’ questions and issues, and other general inquiries. Respond and provide information to incoming mail, emails, faxes, inquiries from the public, attorneys, licensees, and potential licensees. Collaborate with the Enforcement Section on child support suspensions and reinstatements per notification by the Department of Revenue. Maintain license relations, prepare and mail correspondence to the licensee regarding the child support.
  • Review, analyze and respond to the more difficult customer requests regarding application requirements, license history and certifications, requests for refunds, and other issues. Evaluate qualifications and licensure criteria in accordance with the law and rules.
  • Review, and assist with the preparation of the board agenda for applications requiring board approval. Monitor the fax queue, and the mail received for correspondence belonging to the Operation Support Unit. Maintain mail/fax logs for the unit and distribute the correspondence/faxes.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Review and process applications for licensure requiring Board approval.
  • Collaborate with Enforcement team on Child support issues and or concerns.
  • Review and assist with the preparation of the board agenda for applications requiring board approval.
  • Monitor, log and distribute incoming faxes and mail belonging to Operations Support Unit.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Requires a basic operational knowledge of Microsoft word processing, email and database applications.
  • Basic knowledge of Chapters 119, 120, 455 & 475, F.S. and Fla. Adm. Code 61J2.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and deal with people effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to research information to arrive at an appropriate and effective conclusion.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of customer service experience; and
  • One (1) year of Microsoft Office experience; and
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both oral and written.

Preferred:

Preference will be given to applicants with:

Proven ability to interpret, analyze and gather information from fingerprints/criminal background report, court documents, departmental guidelines, and internet research.

Proven ability to conduct basic internet search and navigation.

Experience importing and verifying documents/applications in the department's single licensing system and using the department’s document imaging system.
