STAFF ASSISTANT (LEE COUNTY / POSITION NUMBER 77070167)
GENERAL STATEMENT:
Responsible for general administrative duties relating to the operation of the Ft. Myer’s law enforcement field office in the Division of Law Enforcement.
Assists supervisors, officers, and administrative support staff with the proper management and operation of the Ft. Myers field office. Responsible for the organization and maintenance of records, files, and manuals relating to the operation of the Division of Law Enforcement at the field office.
Processes and completes assigned tasks related to, but not limited to: citations/warnings, subpoenas, equipment logs, request for supplies and equipment, purchasing, invoices, captive wildlife exams, mail, printing needs, vessel inspections, derelict vessels, responding to askFWC, and issuing special use permits.
Consults daily with office staff and management for administrative decisions. Reviews and interprets established policies and directives to ensure compliance with all assigned responsibilities. Provides information and recommendations for identifying and resolving related deficiencies.
Meets, answers calls and communicates effectively with the public in a courteous and professional manner, disseminates information and assists with requests.
Travels within and outside the region for regional administrative duties and during emergency situations.
Performs other related administrative duties and special projects as assigned by GOC and Regional Command Staff. Works in a team setting assisting supervisors and administrative personnel from all LE field office within the Southwest Region.
**Position may be eligible for a Critical Market additive of $48.80 bi-weekly if the selected candidate resides in Lee County.
