The applicant selected to fill this position shall be required to submit to a pre-employment medical screening. This position requires lifting, pulling, and squatting. Duties of this position require the incumbent to be knowledgeable of and utilize the principles of Total Quality Management. 40 This is a responsible position requiring a thorough knowledge of all aspects of receiving, storage, and issuing of Laundry and Linen items as well as all items issued by the institution. This person performs various duties independently, such as receiving and checking goods to assure that the items are received in accordance with purchase orders, maintaining filing system of purchases, and signing receiving reports for laundry and linen supplies and other related goods. This individual must have knowledge of the Statewide Inventory Management System (SIMS) and will serve as back-up relief in the supply warehouse pulling and issuing supply orders and delivering items to various units and departments. The incumbent in this position must also be responsible for maintaining complete records related to issues and receipts of goods. 30 Performs occupational skills in inventory and warehouse control techniques. This includes the application of stock numbers, analyzing supply requisitions, and assuring proper stock rotations. Skills in the use and application of barcode labels and automated issuing are an integral part of this position. 15 The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the pick-up and delivery of laundry from the various units and departments at Florida State Hospital. 10 Receives, sorts, stores, and issues laundry and linen supplies to various units and departments. 3 Provides relief in the warehouse for other inventory areas as needed. 2 Performs other duties and assignments as required. 7. Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: Ability to operate a motor vehicle and make deliveries. 8. Ability to maintain accurate up-to-date records of receipts and deliveries. 9. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. 10. Ability to check shipments against invoices and/or Purchase orders for discrepancies. 11. Ability to prepare and maintain a perpetual inventory system. 8. Licensure/registration/certification requirements (If applicable, list the appropriate Florida Statute or federal regulation cite): Valid Operator's or Commercial driver's license. 9. Other job-related requirements for this position: The incumbent of this position will be required to operate a state vehicle in the performance of their duties. This position has Vendor Invoice warrant processing responsibilities (215.422, F.S.). 10. Working hours: (A) Daily from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (B) Total hours in workweek 40 (C) Explain any variation in work (split shift, rotation, etc.) The incumbent will work Monday-Friday with off days Saturday and Sunday. This position may demand more than 40 hours per week and obligate the incumbent to work beyond the normal work schedule when required.
