Salary: $45,000 - $52,000 annual
- Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications.

The Secretary of State agency is looking for a data analyst position within the Division of Elections. The Division of Elections collects and maintains a significant number of data sets in the areas of voter registration, election results, and operations of state and county election administration.
This position would report to the Director of Elections.
- Educate the public about election data, including where to access, how to use and what it means.
- Assist with responses to open records requests.
- Create and maintain charts, graphs and other tools to help the public understand trends.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of data by implementing quality control measures and resolving data discrepancies or anomalies.
- Analyze data and make recommendations to improve performance at both the state and county level.
- Assist with training of state and county staff in collecting and reporting different data sets.
- Bachelor’s degree in statistical analysis or political science preferred.
Work experience with data and/or elections
The successful applicant will be well-organized, with exceptional time management skills and will be able to work independently:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistical analysis or political science preferred.
- Experience in elections or politics in general.
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and timely.
- Excellent MS Office knowledge.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Discretion and confidentiality.
- Must possess a positive attitude.
