Work involves a variety of driver's license examinations to determine the eligibility of individual applicants based on well-defined guidelines. This position will work with customers face to face and on the phone. Duties include performing vision examinations, entering applicant information into a web-based application and scanning documents, handling cash, conducting drive tests for vehicles of all sizes including commercial vehicles and motorcycles. This position will require travel to the surrounding offices.
Qualifications:
Licensing & Certification: Must have and maintain a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) or have a valid driver license and be eligible to obtain a CDL. KDOR will provide education necessary to obtain a CDL.
Minimum Qualifications: A good driving record and six months experience in examining and licensing individuals to operate vehicles on public highways, roads and streets. Education and/or experience may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Experience:12 months training experience and 12 months face-to-face customer service experience, such as retail or food service.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: KBI and FBI fingerprint required due to involvement in application/issuance process for KS Driver's License and/or KS ID Card. The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment testing for illegal substances.
