Compensation: $43,850.40. Salary may be dependent upon the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Surveys, inspects, investigates, and conducts program evaluations of residential foster care facilities and child-placing agencies for compliance with operational practices, environmental standards, delivery of services, and appropriate practices through interpretation and application of regulations and statutes, to assure the health and safety of children in out-of-home care. Conducts initial, annual, and compliance surveys of 24-hour child care facilities, child-placing agencies, and foster homes, and investigates complaints as needed by physical walk-throughs and interviews of administrators, staff, foster parents, and children. Evaluates program design and implementation, coordinates surveys with child-placing agency staff as needed. Documents results of surveys and submits to supervisor for review in an accurate and timely manner. Organizes and submits surveys in a timely manner, in accordance with agency guidelines. Informs supervisor of unusual concerns or when enforcement action is recommended.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
- Valid Driver’s License (must maintain valid driver’s license throughout employment)
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (in social work, nursing, sanitary or human services field)
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements:
- Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF. Must maintain security clearance throughout employment.
