Position Summary:

This position is in the Motor Fuel Segment of the Customer Relations Core Process. Performs upload of terminal manifests reports in Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) system. Conducts office audit comparisons of terminal manifests data to distributor return schedules, to ensure Motor Fuel tax due Kansas is paid. Conducts review of imported fuel reports, fuel diversion reports, and performs research to track loads of fuel through the distribution process to ensure motor fuel tax is paid. Knowledge of statutes, policies, procedures, services and resources. Knowledge of fuel types, products codes and customer filing habits. Processes and prepares supplemental returns/assessments for distribution to customers. Provides customer service in a professional and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing & Certification:

Minimum Qualifications: Six months of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Preferred Experience: Two years of experience in analyzing administrative tax issues, tax table, forms and pokicy development and interpreting tax law. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Preferred Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, proofreading, editing, and attention to detail.
