Position Summary & Responsibilities:
This position provides support services for the statewide professional development system for child nutrition personnel who work in the federal Child Nutrition Programs (CNPs). Annually, there are more than 20,000 registrants for professional development. This position also provides lead administrative support for the entire Child Nutrition & Wellness (CNW) team for implementation of the federal Child Nutrition Programs in Kansas: National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program, Afterschool Snack Program, Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program, Special Milk Program, Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) including At Risk Afterschool Meals and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in general office and administrative. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Skills and/or Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Knowledge of standard office practices and administrative skills; PC skills for word processing, spreadsheets and databases (Microsoft Office Suite); ability to work with professional staff;
- Ability to work in a team environment and function as a contributing team member;
- Ability to work with the public;
- Ability to work independently, plan, organize, prioritize, make decisions, meet deadlines, solve problems and produce accurate work in a timely manner; and
- Possess excellent writing skills, knowledge of correct grammar and punctuation, and ability to proofread and edit a wide variety of documents.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in secondary technology education;
- Secondary certification in Career and Technical Education; and
- One year of experience in educational administration and curriculum assessment at the secondary, postsecondary or adult level.
