This position also recieves a 10% pay differential and $.30 per hour trade differential on top of base salary listed above.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The incumbent plans, organizes and co-directs operation of the Electronics Shop. Performs maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, alarms, electronics, fire control systems, and smoke detection devices. Inspects malfunctions of basic electronics equipment. Maintains shop security and both Class A and B tool cribs. Ensures all equipment is maintained in good working order and operated safely, being returned to it proper storage after use. Work is completed and supervised on the journeyman level as the incumbent acts in a foreman capacity. Failure to keep equipment in top operating condition can result in injury to staff and inmates, as well as placing the public at great risk.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in electronic repair. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Selection Process: Applicants selected for interview will be evaluated by an interview panel using performance/behavior based interview questions. The interview panel will make recommendations to the Warden for final approval. A second interview may be conducted. Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation; must pass a drug screen and a TB test unless promoting, transferring, or demoting from another safety sensitive position within the same agency; and possess a valid Driver’s License.
