A Supply Officer III is one of three supervisory levels of storekeeping work having responsibility for the management and operation of a large storeroom or supply storage facility of a State institution or department. Employees in this classification supervise lower-level Supply Officers and may supervise Stock Clerks or patients engaged in the performance of storekeeping or related activities.
Employees in this classification receive general supervision from a higher-level Supply Officer or designated administrator. Employees in this classification may work shifts, which include weekends and holidays. The work requires the lifting and moving of equipment, materials and supplies weighing ten or more pounds.
