What are the responsibilities and job description for the LABORER position at The State of New Hampshire?
To perform unskilled and semi-skilled laboring tasks at Regional Fish Hatchery and assist with fish distribution.
Weighs and sorts fish into lots for stocking ponds and streams.
Cleans incubators, tanks, pools and troughs and assists in sterilizing those areas.
Prepares fish food according to established specifications; dispenses food to the fish.
Assists in transferring fish from hatchery to hatchery, hatchery to pond or river/stream.
Assists in the maintenance of hatchery buildings and grounds equipment, including painting and cleaning hatchery pools.
Mows lawns, cuts brush and shrubbery and shovels snow.
Conducts student and civic group tours of the facility.
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of eighth grade or its equivalent.
Experience: No experience required.
License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License required.
