Job Description
Job Title: ADA - Criminal Prosecutor
Location: District Attorney’s Office, Cleveland County 201 S Jones Suite #300 Norman OK 73075
Status: Full-time position available
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming law enforcement reports to determine viability of filing criminal charges
- Evaluate assigned cases for prosecutorial merit and possible plea negotiations
- Research and write legal motions
- File appropriate written motions when needed
- Competently, expeditiously and professionally handle all assigned court appearances
- Prepare cases for trial
- Assist other law enforcement agencies
- Continually develop, maintain and improve all skills necessary to perform daily prosecutorial duties
Required Skills
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admitted to and in good standing with Oklahoma Bar Association
- Experience is not required, but prior prosecution experience preferred.
