Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) is searching for full-time, tenure-track Faculty of Computing Sciences who will be a part of the Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth Plus Community College (PRODiG CC) program. We are looking to grow our team of student-centered educators who are committed to innovation and excellence. The PRODiG CC program is an initiative supported by SUNY system aiming to: (1) increase the number and share of excellent diverse community college faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion by hiring qualified candidates directly into tenure-track positions to support the community colleges’ efforts to build an educated workforce in the state; and (2) strengthen the pipeline for retention and support of these candidate. Candidates hired into a PRODiG CC role will receive additional faculty mentorship and professional development funds to support their professional growth.
We offer courses in Java and Python programming, cloud computing, video game development and design, networking, cybersecurity, and more! We are looking to expand the curriculum across the college to include Artificial Intelligence. As an FLCC faculty member you’ll have the opportunity to work with a supportive group of faculty to expand your technical knowledge and deliver dynamic cutting-edge curriculum to help prepare students for careers and further studies in technology-related fields.

- Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field from an accredited institution completed prior to start date required.
- Demonstrate personal, academic, and/or work experience engaging with diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or a commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the campus community. Such experience may include, but is not limited to, an academic/scholarly track record focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; work, volunteer/unpaid/community service; or related experience/expertise in serving underserved or vulnerable areas and/or populations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Current SUNY students, alumni, and/or Fellows.
- From a low-income background (e.g., Pell-eligible as undergraduates), were first-generation college students (students whose parents have not earned a bachelor’s degree), have overcome adversity, are AmeriCorps alumni, or are veterans.
- Willingness to teach at any of FLCC's campus locations (Canandaigua, Geneva, Newark, and Victor), and in various delivery modes as needed, is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching Computer Science is preferred.
- Experience using Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
