Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) is searching for a full-time, tenure-track Registered Nurse – Nursing Faculty who will be a part of the Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth Plus Community College (PRODiG CC) program. The PRODiG CC Fellowship program is an initiative supported by SUNY system aiming to: (1) increase the number and share of excellent diverse community college faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion by hiring qualified candidates directly into tenure-track positions to support the community colleges’ efforts to build an educated workforce in the state; and (2) strengthen the pipeline for retention and support of these candidate. Candidates hired into a PRODiG CC role will receive additional faculty mentorship and professional development funds to support their professional growth.
The nursing department teaches most courses in a Hybrid format. This includes approximately half of the instruction for each course is asynchronous online and half is in a traditional format in the classroom. Instruction would be within our Fundamentals or Medical-Surgical courses, including professional nursing topics and pharmacology. As an FLCC faculty member you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive group of faculty in each course. This position will include instruction in the classroom, clinical and simulation/laboratory portions of each course.

- Master's degree in Nursing required. Candidates enrolled in a Master’s program in Nursing may be considered.
- License to practice nursing in NYS.
- Acute care experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Demonstrate personal, academic, and/or work experience engaging with diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or a commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the campus community. Such experience may include, but is not limited to, an academic/scholarly track record focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; work, volunteer/unpaid/community service; or related experience/expertise in serving underserved or vulnerable areas and/or populations.
- Current SUNY students, alumni, and/or Fellows.
- From a low-income background (e.g., Pell-eligible as undergraduates), were first-generation college students (students whose parents have not earned a bachelor’s degree), have overcome adversity, are AmeriCorps alumni, or are veterans.
- Previous teaching experience.

- Salary will depend on rank according to education and experience – Starting salary: Instructor: $56,132; Assistant Professor: $62,567.
