- Provide support to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the general operation of the kitchen.
- Overseeing the preparation of meals by a team of cooks, including checking food quality and cooking methods.
- Orienting new employees to the department and shift.
- Assuring high quality standards are met in the kitchen.
- Maintaining compliance with environmental health laws by completing documents.
- Relationship-building with managers and front-of-house teams in other areas of the business.
- Inventory management and stock control.
- Organizing produce and adhering to food hygiene regulations.
- Assisting in all aspects of food preparation.
- Passionate and curious chef with culinary training and experienceÂ
- Proven ability/experience to manage all stations on the line
- Must possess consistent and stable work experience & encompass the desire to operationally support the business as an individual experience and leader
- Well-versed and timely email etiquette as well as written and verbal communicationÂ
- Strong communicator, collaborator, and motivator with the ability to build professional relationships with all leaders and the kitchen team
- Proactive team player who can work well independently as well as
a team
- Flexible schedule and ability to work morning, night, weekends, and holidays (as needed).
- Ability to multitask and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
