The Full Time Budtender is responsible for providing our customers and patients with an exceptional service through meaningful connections and educated cannabis experience. Budtenders are the customer facing ambassadors of our brand and contribute to the overall success of the dispensary. This role will collaborate with leaders and peers to achieve sales goals and expectations of store objectives while adhering to all policies and operational guidelines. Professionalism, attention to detail and transactions ensuring accuracy, money management is very important in this role! This is a role at a start-up, candidate must be willing to adapt/have flexibility for new processes and policies as the business develops.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior customer service to our patients
• Understand the medicinal benefits of cannabis and CBD products and utilize a consultative approach to recommend to patients based on needs.
• Verify patient allotment and ensure they are eligible to make purchases using the state verification system.
• Properly utilize the inventory tracking software to record relevant purchase information for medical and adult use transactions.
• Contribute to sales and service team to achieve store objectives and sales goals, including working together to provide excellent patient care.
• Support a healthy environment and ensuring our dispensary is clean and free from debris (including bathrooms, working stations and inventory space.)
• /Ensure a safe environment for our staff and patients, by following all safety and security protocols as well as adhering to all policies and state regulations.
• Participate and successfully complete company compliance training
• Properly audit inventory before and after store hours
• Other duties as assigned by leadership team/General Manager
• Brand Ambassador duties such as canvasing around The Station Hoboken location, handing out flyers, etc.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age to work in a dispensary
• Experience in working with a point of sale (POS) system
• Must be willing to undergo background check and fingerprinting.
• Must stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state C@nn@bis agency.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods is a plus

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Weekly day range: (Schedule Rotates between staff, hours of store range from 07:30am shift to 10:30pm shift)

• Hoboken, NJ 07030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
• PAID street parking available, parking garage, or PATH station across the street. Non-reimbursement.

Duties:
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing C@nn@bis products based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on the different strains, products, and consumption methods available
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and maintain proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and product displays
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and regulations
- Adhere to all state and local laws regarding the sale of products
- Ability to upsell and recommend additional products to customers
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English;Bilingual skills are a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of strains, products, and consumption methods is desirable but not required
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with sensitive customer information
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
