What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Culinary Server position at The Stayton?
We are seeking a Lead Culinary Server to join our community committed to delivering extraordinary culinary experience to our residents. As a Lead Culinary Server, you will play an important role in all phases of food preparation that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:
- Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures and requirements. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
- Direct daily coverage to complete all work assignments; replace any absent or reassign team members to ensure there is proper coverage to cover daily workload.
- Orient new team members on department Teach team members the proper use of all department equipment.
- Welcome residents and guests to the culinary venue and coordinate seating location Greet residents and guests in a professional, courteous and timely manner. Provide a high level of resident and guest engagement.
- Accurately take resident and guest orders, entering menu selections into a point-of-sale or similar tracking electronic
- Serve meals and beverages in a prompt and professional manner while maintaining The Stayton and Buckner's hospitality and service standards.

- Audit each server's side job assignment for completeness prior to And communicate on-going performance feedback.
What you'll bring:
- Completes and meets required training and certification requirements of Buckner and governing authorities; e.g. Food Handlers Certificate and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Certificate.
- Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.
- Ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Ability to make self clearly understood in face-to-face communication.
- Requires ability to move food serving and preparation equipment as needed; requires ability to use up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a small amount of force continuously to move objects.
- Requires ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, handle, stand, walk over 75% of shift.
