What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker position at The Stayton?
We are seeking a Utility Worker to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Utility Worker, you will play an important role in all phases of cleanliness that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:
- Set-up, breakdown and maintain the dish room and pot washing area.
- Set-up, breakdown and clean floor safety mats.
- Clean all pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware, and utensils, including washing, drying and storing.
- Clean and sanitize all carts.
- Clean production equipment and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Mops and sweep kitchen, dry storeroom, walk-in coolers to be free of debris.
- Take out trash on an ongoing basis.
- Keep log sheets for the dish machine and 3 compartment sink.
What you'll bring:
- Completes and meets required training and certification requirements of Buckner and governing authorities; e.g. food handlers certificate.
- Requires knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.
- Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects.
- Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift.
