Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Business Analyst to serve as a strategic partner to operations and finance leadership. This role utilizes data-driven insights to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance operational efficiency and support key organizational initiatives. Reporting to the Finance organization, the analyst bridges the gap between operations and financial performance, ensuring alignment between production activities, resource planning, and financial objectives. The position requires a strong technical background in finance and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring a robust blend of analytical expertise, business acumen and strong communication skills to influence decision-making and support continuous improvement across the organization.
Location: Onsite in Streetsboro, OH with weekly travel to our Perrysville, OH facility (same day travel)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop annual budgets for production capacity, direct labor headcount and spending and support budgeting for manufacturing overhead and distribution costs
- Analyze monthly production results and update rolling financial forecasts
- Maintain production models based on sales forecasts and labor capacity to ensure alignment between demand, staffing and operational throughput
- Analyze production efficiency based on SKU and direct labor mix, and deliver actionable insights to leadership
- Analyze SKU optimization based on labor and machine time utilization
- Build financial models and business cases to support capital investments, operational changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in development and standardization of reporting dashboards
- Lead root cause analyses on operational variances, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
- Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI reporting for both Manufacturing and Finance teams
- Design and implement a scalable reporting framework to facilitate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) tracking and analysis
- Act as a liaison between Finance and Operations to align strategic priorities and promote data driven decision-making.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or a closely related field
- 5 years of experience in Finance, with at least 3 years supporting manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures (including standard costing, direct labor, overhead allocation, variance analysis)
- Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling within a production environment
- Proven ability to perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate the financial and operational impacts of changes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex functions and financial modeling) and ERP Systems (Oracle EBS preferred)
- Exceptional ability to distill complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Superior communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
This position will perform most job duties in an office environment where using a computer, software applications, telephone, printer, etc. are essential.
