What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Customer Service Representative position at The Stephenson National Bank & Trust?
Customer Service Excellence and Relationship Development: Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of all Bank deposit products and services. Identify customer financial needs through friendly interactions, recommends appropriate products and services. Consistently delivers outstanding customer service by actively listening to customers, addressing their concerns, and providing timely solutions. Greets customers warmly with a positive and professional attitude, creates a welcoming atmosphere, and ensures every customer feels valued and appreciated. Assists with inquiries, provides detailed information about bank products and services, and resolves issues and complaints promptly and professionally. Builds and maintains strong customer relationships, always striving to exceed customer expectations and enhance their banking experience.
Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently conduct transactions, including but not limited to cashing checks, issuing cashier’s checks, processing deposits, cash withdrawals, loan payments, cash advances, and accepting safe deposit box payments. Admit customers to safe deposit boxes and provide account information. Verify endorsements and cash checks according to established policies and procedures. Fully utilize and troubleshoot TCRs as necessary and engage customers in utilizing the eTeller for transactions. Enhance the customer experience by promoting the bank’s digital channel transaction capabilities. Ensure each transaction is handled with the utmost care and attention to detail to enhance the customer’s experience.
Retail Deposit Operations and Compliance: Develop and maintain adequate knowledge to perform all banking office opening/closing procedures and teller operational duties according to bank policy and procedures. Verify and balance assigned cash, negotiable items, cash vaults, etc. consistently within procedures and compliant standards. Ensure cash and sensitive documents are secured at the end of each business day. Build a solid working knowledge of applicable bank regulations & policies including but not limited to; Reg CC (check holds) and Bank Secrecy Act (Monetary Instrument log, CTRs, and SAR reporting). Understand risk of all applicable products and services. Read and understand applicable policies as designated along with any applicable product disclosures and service terms and conditions.

Commitment to personal, bank wide, and departmental relationships and goals. Partners closely with Banking Office Manager, Universal Bankers and Personal Bankers to support the strategic goals to achieve growth and customer satisfaction objectives while contributing to the management of risk, operational efficiency, and overall objectives of the Bank. Encourage and collaborate in a team environment.
