1. Customer Service Excellence and Relationship Development: Provide exceptional banking experience for customers from the initial point of contact through the life of the relationship. Engage in need-based conversations, actively listen to customers to uncover opportunities and deliver tailored financial solutions serving as a trusted banking partner ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly, professionally and effectively. Recommend, educate, open and/or refer the right products and services to meet customer goals. Follow sales process to fully develop meaningful financial relationships with customers. Meet all training requirements, actively contribute, support, and make recommendations regarding customer service and sales initiatives of the Bank. Proactively service existing customers and provide immediate response to and complete follow through of all requests.

2. Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently conduct transactions, including but not limited to cashing checks, issuing cashier’s checks, processing deposits, cash withdrawals, loan payments, cash advances, and accepting safe deposit box payments. Admit customers to safe deposit boxes and provide account information. Verify endorsements and cash checks according to established policies and procedures. Fully utilize and troubleshoot TCRs as necessary and engage customers in utilizing the eTeller for transactions. Enhance the customer experience by promoting the bank’s digital channel transaction capabilities. Ensure each transaction is handled with the utmost care and attention to detail to enhance the customer’s experience.

3. Deposit Accounts: Open and maintain a wide range of accounts, including personal, business, savings, CDs and IRAs for all types of customers. Work side by side with various bank departments to handle complex account setups for high-value customers, ensuring a seamless experience. Open accounts through a smooth face-to-face, virtual, e-mail, night/day drop, online, or telephone method. Answer customer and staff inquiries. Perform thorough onboarding and follow up of all customers and accounts ensure all activities are logged. Review reports of your customers to make sure they are fitted with the right products and services. Introduce customers to appropriate staff that would complete a well-rounded, successful financial relationship with the Bank. Meet new account growth goals and cross sell goals.

4. Retail Deposit Operations and Compliance: Maintain a proficient level of knowledge regarding the Bank’s compliance, industry regulations, all new account documents, CSR & Universal Banker procedures along with bank policies. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Service Terms and Conditions as well as all products offering disclosures and account agreements. Ability to discuss content with customers in a way that grows trust.

5. Strategic Goals and Culture: Supports the bank by committing to and reinforcing SNBT’s premier culture, core values, and team relationships. Commitment to personal, bank wide, and departmental relationships and goals. Partners closely with Banking Office Manager and Personal Banker to support the strategic goals to achieve growth and customer satisfaction objectives while contributing to the management of risk, operational efficiency, and overall objectives of the Bank. Encourage and collaborate in a team environment.

6. Other Duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Customer service experience required. Banking experience preferred. High school education or equivalent. Post high school technical training or continuing education is desired. Excellent communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills using tact and professionalism. Applies sales and service management techniques to achieve bank goals and objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
