What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at The Stepping Stones Group?
As a Paraprofessional, you will support teachers and enhance the learning environment for students, particularly those with diverse needs. Your core skills in classroom management and experience with children will be essential in fostering a positive atmosphere. You will also utilize premium skills such as special education and lesson planning to assist in delivering tailored instruction. With relevant experience in behavior management and working with children with disabilities, you will play a vital role in promoting student engagement and success within the classroom setting. Responsibilities:
- Assist students on a 1:1 or classroom aide basis within a school setting
- Work alongside lead teacher and fellow aides
- Implement individuals’ IEP and work on individual goals
- Work with student’s grade K – 12th and ages 5-22
- Assist with various behavioral levels including mild/mod/severe
- Assist with toileting and diapering as needed
Training:
- Autism training
- 4-hour online training in ABA basics

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or special needs population
- 1 year behaviors experience (required)
Preemployment Testing:
