Summary
As a Special Education Classroom Assistant, you will support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring a nurturing and effective educational environment. Reporting to the lead teacher, your core responsibilities will include classroom management, implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and fostering communication with students and their families. Your experience with children and skills in behavior management will be essential in promoting positive interactions and learning outcomes. Additionally, your premium skills in working with students with autism and developmental disabilities will enhance the educational experience for all students in the classroom. Responsibilities:
- Assist students on a 1:1 or classroom aide basis within a classroom setting
- Work alongside lead teacher
- Implement individuals’ IEP
- Work with student’s grade K – 12th
- Assist with various behavioral levels mild to severe
- Assist with toileting and diapering as needed
Training:
- Autism training
- 4-hour online training in ABA basics

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or special needs population
- 1 year behaviors experience (required)
Preemployment Testing:
