- Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
- MA Teaching License as Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 OR Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities All Grades required
- Teacher of English Language Learners (ESL) or Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) preferred
- Elementary population experience with Autism specific impairments required
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Experience in Urban, High-Poverty, or turnaround schools, Experience with English Language Development (ELD) and Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) strategies
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and tools to enhance learning and engagement for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, families, and other professionals to promote student success and integration into broader educational settings
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, empathy, and self-confidence among students
